Mount Redoubt and Plastic Bags

Before we left work today we were all given plastic garbage bags and ordered to place them over our work computers. Larger, more ominous looking black plastic bags, were placed over the copiers and printers.

In case you were wondering why we did this just look over here.

Hmmmm…

It’s been quite a while since I wrote a post so I felt guilty this morning and am now writing this one. I’m not really sure why I’ve not been posting. Nothing exciting has happened to me. Work is still, well, work. Winter weather is now sucky due to all of the snow melting and now it’s cold again without any new snow. Politics have now slowed-down so that’s another item that there’s nothing to talk about.

Hmmmm….. weather? work? politics? Can’t really think of anything else right now.

Thy Name…

Winter thy existence is like a broken record.

It is now, and I find this ridiculously hard to fathom despite more than 13 years of living here, colder than it was before. The outside temperature is -19 at my office. That’s colder than when it was -20 over at the police station due to the police station always being colder than my office’s location.

Cold…

The ocean is still frozen outside. It’s quickly becoming rather tiresome with all of this cold weather. KD (our dog) didn’t even poo this morning because it was too cold.

Colder!

It actually is colder today. I’ve not seen it this cold at my house ever. We’re usually the warmest part of town. When we lived in the Muldoon neighborhood we saw -15 but it’s always very cold there in winter.

I took this photo in my car at a red light while driving to work this morning.

UPDATE
I went to police headquarters and it got even colder! It’s now -20. That’s as cold as I’ve ever seen it in Anchorage.
